I have just finished reading "Erich Huckel (1986-1980)" written by Andreas Karachalios. It aims to cover various sides of Huckel's life as one of pioneers of quantum chemistry. Probably it is one of the most comprehensive accounts on the life and achivements of Huckel. For one interested in the history of quantum chemistry, this book will be a valuable source to conceive the true mode of quantum chemistry in 30's.
